Focus group

First we explained the concept to everybody present, and let them talk about it freely, we noticed a few things.
- They said that there aren't streetlights on every street, so we would have to have to place lights on these locations.
- What happens with the lights when there is a line of cars, they will not have the lights go on in front of them because they will already be on from the previous car.
- The drivers will already have to drive slower because of the cars in front of them, the lights being on already also shows them that there's a long line of cars, (showing them overtaking would not be possible for example).
- Doesn't this already exist? Like notifications in the car that you are driving faster than the limit?
- Yes but these notifications are things you can easily not notice, the lights are there to steer your subconscious into driving at an appropriate speed.
- Wouldn't this consume huge amounts of electricity?
- The fact that the lights only go on when there is a car coming reduces the on-time of the light and thus reduces energy-consumption.
We then talked to them about the 5G aspect, what their opinions are on this.
- The group talked about the fact that they don't want this data to be used to pinpoint their location at any time.
- They showed concern about this possibly being used to give them speeding tickets, because of the accuracy of the data.
